Now  living on Wabanaki lands in Lewiston, Maine, Mey Hasbrook presents her first solo exhibition since the pandemic.  Mey's visual art and poetry are inspired by everyday thriving while navigating  systemic oppression and identity-based violence.  Her passion to serve Community arises from local networks and cross-pollinating relatable  experiences.  Starting in Lansing circa 2005, she led writing circles, hosted open mics, and twice featured with Take Back the Night of  Greater Lansing. Regional and national funds have supported Mey's arts projects, including the Arts  Council of Greater Lansing, the YWCA of Kalamazoo, The Puffin Foundation, and several organizations from the  Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
