This Event Features:
Julianna Loera-Wiggins is a Mexican-Italian comedian, producer, and PhD candidate based in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She should be finishing her dissertation, but instead she can be found performing all over the Midwest. She infuses her comedy with smart and quirky observations about girlhood, relationships, and growing up with a Mexican mother. She is also the co-producer for the FemFeedback Show in Ann Arbor, a mic where gender non-conforming, transgender, and female-identified comedians of mixed experience levels have a safe space to perform and receive feedback on their material.
Esteban Touma is a comedian from Ecuador adjusting to life in the US. He was featured in Comedy Central and was part of Clusterfest "Up Next" showcase in San Francisco. His comedy has also been featured on NPR, Sirius XM, The Moth, the NBC Second City Break Out Festival, and the World Comedy Expo. He has opened for comics such as Judd Apatow, Mark Normand, Michelle Wolf, and Roy Wood Jr. The U.S. Government once officially declared him an "authorized legal alien with a reentry permit."
Chicago Reader's 2022 and 2023 Best Standup of the Year, Deanna Ortiz is the host of the podcast 'Crushes!', 'Crime For Bed' on Hatch+, and The Drunk Cooking Show on Instagram. She is a contributing writer for NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, and her standup has been featured in Vulture, WGN News, FOX Good Day Chicago, and TimeOut Chicago.
Angelica Julia Davila is a writer, comedian, improviser, and 2nd runner-up for Best of 2023 Chicago's Poetry. She is co-producer of Antojito's Fest: Chicago's Latin American Comedy Fest and the monthly Latinx variety show La Hora de Antojitos at Logan Square Improv. Angelica has an upcoming poetry chapbook that will come out in March of 2025 titled, "Bilingual Bitch" by Adobe Press.
Christina Gutierrez is a Mexican American comedian, actress, and writer based in Chicago and London. She moved to London at 20 years old after winning the jackpot at a Canadian casino and got into comedy because a group of comedians at a pub told her she was 'kind of' funny. Her comedy is inspired by relationships, intrusive thoughts, and being not a Milennial, but not yet a Gen Z-er.
Janice Rodriguez (first name rhymes with Denise, you can ask her mom), is a Chicago-based entrepreneur and comedian. When she's not wasting time on an unnecessary spreadsheet or micromanaging others, she performs her unique brand of stand-up comedy across the Chicagoland area. Janice uses her experience as being the whitest Latina she knows and an at best average marriage partner to tell her side of the story. Janice is a founder and producer of Las Locas Comedy. She is also the co-producer of the Latina Comedy Festival. She's also really tired.
