Riverside 4 (Lansing Guitar Quartet)

Riverside 4 is a local acoustic guitar ensemble that performs a wide variety of instrumental arrangements from Traditional European, Classical, Jazz, Rock, Country and Contemporary genres. Their sound is smooth. They enjoy performing a smattering of everything from Bach to Van Morrison with a few of their own contemporary compositions.

The group is as diverse as their music. Their Director, Yoshihiro Fukagawa, is originally from Japan. He came to MSU and completed a Doctorate in Music Composition and Guitar performance. His unique arrangements and compositions empower Riverside4. Paul Schneider, an engineer, hails from New York, New York. Currently, living in Williamston, Pauls works at MSU helping to build the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams. Wendy Shaft, an artist and printer, spend most of her life in Alaska, recently having moved back to Williamston. Stephen Ivkovich, an MSU educated engineer, was born and raised in the Mitten State.
