About The Event

Poetry  encourages a certain interconnectedness and helps establish a sense of  community between oneself and others. In other words, poetry can help us  feel as if we’re part of a larger picture and not just living in our  isolated quarantine little world. We learn  that other people have embarked on similar journeys and have similar  feelings about where they’ve been and where they’re going. Tonight is  the night where we share those stories. “You've  come a long way” will be a positive night of poetry that celebrates creative voices and supportive communities.

Punks  with Lunch Lansing, The Poetry Room, and The Robin Theatre are teaming up for another amazing, spoken-word showcase! Please  consider making a donation! https://tinyurl.com/y239m3na Contributions  to this event will support Punks with Lunch's efforts to provide free  meals, clothing, and other aid to people experiencing homelessness. Our  incredible feature for this month is Neil Hilborn! How  to attend: 1. Come  to this event page at 7:30 on Tuesday, September 15th. You can also follow The  Poetry Room, Punks with Lunch Lansing, and The Robin Theatre - they  will share the video from their pages, too! OR Log  in to the Zoom link below! 2.
